Our third January Study Tour/Pilgrimage to Greece and Italy was another great success. The students all got a flying start to their HSC studies in Visual Art, Ancient History and Studies of Religion with interesting lessons on location right in front of the sites and artefacts they are studying:

  • Art students saw great masterpieces first hand.
  • Ancient Historians walked the historic streets of Pompeii and Rome and examined the artefacts with leading international academics.
  • Studies of Religion students experienced the wonders of a Byzantine Monastery, St Peter’s Basilica and the world’s first Jewish Ghetto.
  • Our Hospitality students too had unique experiences, like pizza-making lessons from the experts in Naples.

The learning was mixed with lots of fun, shopping and sampling the regional cuisines of the Mediterranean. Students also had some unique opportunities like Mass in St Mark’s Basilica Venice and a visit to a centuries old palace to meet the Roman Princess Nike Borghese.
